Action list

The action list from the 36th Meeting of the IAI Executive Council outlines decisions regarding the creation of a CoP Advisory Committee for Science-Policy Liaison, strategies for member country involvement and funding, and the potential modification of the IAI Strategic Plan.

• The EC brainstormed strategies to increase IAI funding and member country involvement, including the use of bilateral agreements with national funding agencies to foster multilateral co-funding for research projects. Other proposed ideas include engaging SAC members in IAI activities, allowing scientists from CoP member countries to observe the SAC, facilitating regional dialogues on funding between national agencies, and supporting young scientists through IAI scientific networks.
• The Executive Council intends to evaluate whether the IAI Strategic Plan requires modification based on new IAI initiatives and the current global environmental research landscape.
