This document is a list of actions from the 35th Meeting of the Executive Council (EC) of the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI), held in Montevideo, Uruguay, on June 11, 2013. It details the EC's approvals regarding budgets, financial reports, regulatory changes for representative accreditation, and recommendations to the Conference of the Parties (CoP) concerning the creation of a Science-Policy Liaison Advisory Committee and the nomination of candidates for the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC).

• The Executive Council (EC) established a commission to recommend candidates for the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) membership, consisting of the Executive Director of the IAI, the President of the SAC, and representatives from Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Ecuador, the USA, the Dominican Republic, and Uruguay.
• The EC recommended that the Conference of the Parties (CoP) create a Science-Policy Liaison Advisory Committee to provide guidance to the CoP and IAI Directorates on the design and application of science within decision-making and policy formulation.
• The EC approved the Operating Budget and country contribution levels for 2013-2014, as well as the Financial Report and Balance Sheets for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2013, for submission to the CoP.
• The EC recommended several candidates for the SAC: Michelle Grunauer Andrade, Werner Wilbert, Claudia Natenzon, and Paulo Hilario Nascimento Saldiva from Party nominations, and Susana Adamo from IAI associate nominations. It also recommended extending the appointments of Harold Mooney and Carolina Vera by two years for continuity.
• The EC expressed support for the IAI Executive Directorate's participation in the Future Earth initiative and the pursuit of an agreement to create a consortium involving the IAI, UNESCO, and ICSU-ROLAC.
