Action list

The action list from the 35th Meeting of the IAI Executive Council, held on June 11, 2013, in Montevideo, Uruguay, details administrative approvals, financial requests, and recommendations for the Conference of the Parties (CoP) regarding organizational structure and governance.

• The Executive Council (EC) approved several financial and administrative items to be forwarded to the Conference of the Parties (CoP), including the Core Budget request for 2013-2014, the unchanged level of Country Contributions for 2013-2014, and the Financial Report and Financial Statements for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2013.
• The EC recommended that the CoP establish an Advisory Committee for Policy-Liaison to provide guidance to the CoP and Directorates on the design and use of science for decision-making and policy.
• The EC accepted modifications to the Rules of Procedure for the CoP and EC concerning the accreditation of country representatives, specifically regarding the designation of Permanent and Alternate Permanent Representatives.
• The EC recommended the appointment of Michelle Grunauer Andrade, Werner Wilbert, Claudia Natenzon, and Paulo Hilario Nascimento Saldiva as SAC candidates from Party nominations, and Susana Adamo from IAI Associates nominations. Additionally, it recommended extending the terms of Carolina Vera and Harold Mooney by two years.
• The EC endorsed the involvement of the IAI Directorate and the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) in the Future Earth initiative, as well as a proposal to create a consortium agreement between the IAI, UNESCO, and ICSU-ROLAC.
