24ª Reunión del Consejo Ejecutivo del IAI Manaus, Brasil 12-13 y 15 de junio de 2007

This document is a list of action items from the 24th Meeting of the Executive Council (EC) of the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI), held in Manaus, Brazil, from June 12-15, 2007. • The Executive Council (EC) established several commissions to handle specific organizational tasks: an ad hoc commission to evaluate candidates for the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC), a commission to prepare terms of reference for a strategic planning process (including budget and timeline), and a commission to address quorum issues for the Conference of the Parties (CoP).
• The EC approved the Operating Budget Request for Fiscal Year 2006/07 for submission to the Conference of the Parties (CoP).
• The EC accepted an offer from the United States to host the next Executive Council meeting in Washington DC in November 2007.
• The EC urged the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) and the Executive Directorate to develop initiatives specifically for the La Plata Basin.
• The EC unanimously approved amendments to the Regulations on behalf of the Conference of the Parties (CoP), which had been proposed by the Standing Committee on Rules and Procedures.
