• The EC approved several strategic items to be forwarded to the CoP, including a revised IAI mission statement, a Phase 2 Program Strategy, a revised overhead policy, and changes to the EC and COP Rules of Procedure.
• The EC approved the creation of a joint working group with the APN to explore collaboration on El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) issues.
• The EC renamed the Budget and Fiscal Policy Working Group to the Financial and Administration Working Group and tasked it with reviewing the minimum member country contribution level of $5,000.
