Lista de Acciones Día 2: 20 de Julio

This briefing document lists the actions and approvals finalized during the second day (July 20, 2001) of the Eighth Meeting of the Conference of the Parties (CoP) of the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) held in Panama City.

• The CoP established a timeline for the Panama Declaration, authorizing the IAI Executive Directorate to distribute the document in four official languages by August 17, 2001, with a deadline for official party approval by September 30, 2001.
• The CoP approved several administrative and financial documents, including the IAI Financial Statement and Audit Report for Fiscal Year 1999/2000, the Basic Budget Request for Fiscal Year 2001/2002, and the Annual Program for 2001/2002.
• The CoP appointed four new members to the IAI Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC): Julia Nogues Paegle, Lynne Z. Hale, Luiz Fernando Loureiro Legey, and René Capote López, while authorizing the Executive Council to select a tenth member in Havana on November 26-27, 2001.
