TWENTY-FIFTH CONFERENCE OF THE PARTIES (CoP) OF THE IAI

The twenty-fifth session of the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) Conference of the Parties, held in Bogotá, Colombia, on 13-14 June 2017, resulted in the adoption of four resolutions concerning budgeting, contributions, and committee appointments.

• The Conference of the Parties approved the Core Budget Request for the 2017-2018 fiscal year and decided to keep country contributions at their current levels without changes for the same period.
• The Conference of the Parties elected four members to the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) by consensus: Drs. Carlos Joly, Teresa Cavazos, Michelle Grunauer, and Antonio Magalhaes.
• The Conference of the Parties elected four members to the Science-Policy Advisory Committee (SPAC) by consensus: Dr. Walter Baethgen, Dr. Brigitte Baptiste, Dr. Evelia Rivera, and Dr. Maria Netto Schneider.
