• The Core Budget for 1995 is estimated at $511,000, with 1996 anticipated at $489,600. Major expenses include Salaries and Benefits ($336,000 in 1995 and $93,000 in 1996), Staff Travel and per diem, and External Audit costs.
• The IAI operates on a fiscal year from July 1 to June 30, using US dollars as its established currency. The budget process involves an annual budget drafted by the Director and approved by the Conference of the Parties prior to a Donor Session.
• The IAI aims to provide data to decision-makers for sustainable development policies in the Americas and to make scientific data available to the international scientific community.
