14th Meeting of the IAI Executive Council (CE)

The draft notes from the second day of the 14th Meeting of the IAI Executive Council (CE) record the non-approval of the "Declaration of Panama" and the scheduling of the 15th Meeting in Brazil.

• The "Declaration of Panama" was not approved because there were insufficient signatures to endorse it by the deadline proposed by the CoP. The Executive Council (EC) recommended that Parties attempt to approve a similar document during the next CoP meeting.
• The Executive Council (EC) accepted an offer from Brazil to host the 15th Meeting of the EC, which is scheduled for the week of February 25, 2002, in São José dos Campos.
