Informe del Comité Financiero y Administrativo (FAC)

The Financial and Administrative Committee (FAC) report for May-August 2005 details the approval of internal operational manuals and the progress of an external audit for the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI).

• Between June and July 2005, the FAC approved and the IAI accepted two updated operational documents: a revised "Employee Manual" and a new "Project Management Manual," both of which became effective on July 1, 2005.
• The FAC is currently developing a revised "Procurement and Acquisitions Manual," for which a draft version was circulated for comments.
• In August 2005, Louis Grittani and Vanessa Richardson participated in a visit by KPMG to the Executive Directorate as part of the IAI's External Audit framework.
