Funciones de la Mesa Directiva del EC

This briefing document outlines the proposed functions and core pillars of the Executive Council (EC) Bureau of the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI), based on Article VI of the Agreement for the Creation of the IAI.

• The proposed work of the Executive Council Bureau is organized around three core pillars: scientific and technological policy (focused on research and training programs to fulfill the IAI mission), financial policy (covering budgets, fund movement, and fundraising to ensure the IAI's existence), and institutional development (addressing the structure, management, and visibility of the Executive Directorate).
• The specific functions of the Bureau include submitting considerations to the Executive Council regarding scientific, technological, and financial policies and the performance of the Executive Directorate; annually approving and evaluating the IAI Director's Performance Plan; approving the EC President's reports; and evaluating the results of Working Groups.
