• Project CRN-038 experienced a significant administrative crisis involving 'serious anomalies' in financial management and a lack of 'professional ethics' by the PI and CoPI, leading to a temporary suspension of the grantees in October 2002. Despite an external audit identifying 17 findings and a subsequent probatory six-month period granted to the institution, the project remains in an 'impasse' following resignations from the PI and several CoPIs.
