Minutes of the IAI CoP-VII meeting (Merida, Mexico – July 27-28, 2000)

• The CoP approved the nomination of CIESIN (Center for International Earth Science Information Network) and CATHALAC (Centro del Agua del Trópico Húmedo para América Latina y el Caribe) as Associate Institutions of the IAI.
• The CoP elected Dr. Walter Fernandez Rojas and Dr. Omar Raúl Masera Cerutti to the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC), and elected a new Executive Council consisting of Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Costa Rica, Cuba, Mexico, Panama, the USA, and Uruguay.
