Experiencias de ordenamiento territorial de Iberoamérica

This research paper analyzes territorial planning (Ordenamiento Territorial or OT) across five Ibero-American countries—Argentina, Brazil, Spain, Mexico, and Uruguay—focusing on administrative management levels and related regulations to improve future planning processes.

• Spain possesses the most extensive regulations and experiences in territorial planning, attributed to its history as a nation and its membership in the European Community, which has strong precedents in the field.
• Within the American countries studied, Mexico and Brazil were the pioneers in developing territorial planning regulations and plans, while Spain and Argentina are highlighted for their experiences in Rural Territorial Planning.
