• Information in Rural Land Use Planning (OTR) processes serves three primary functions: providing elements for decision-making, strengthening the weakest sectors, and generating values regarding the territory.
• The text addresses the barriers that can impede the flow of information from producers to users and proposes strategies to overcome these obstacles.
• The diagnostic stage of an OTR process is characterized by initial meetings (prediagnosis) and participatory diagnosis, while the overall process is affected by uncertainties in both territorial system information and the political decision-making process.
