Declaración de GreenLatinos sobre el discurso de Trump ante el Congreso

GreenLatinos condemns President Donald Trump's congressional speech, arguing that his agenda prioritizes corporate polluters over public health and environmental justice. The organization highlights significant losses in clean energy employment and investment, as well as projected increases in energy costs for working families.

• President Trump's policies have led to the suspension or cessation of over 42,000 clean energy sector jobs, representing a loss of more than 1,000 jobs daily, and a $57 billion reduction in investments across 64 projects.
• Proposed tariffs are expected to increase gasoline prices by at least 15 cents per gallon, while electricity rates are projected to reach their highest levels since the 1990s.
• The administration's agenda is viewed as favoring large polluting companies over the health of communities and environmental justice, particularly impacting those most vulnerable to the climate crisis.
