SECTION 51 MANUAL IN TERMS OF THE PROMOTION OF ACCESS TO INFORMATION ACT 2 of 2000 (AS AMENDED) (“PAIA”) FOR THE GREENCAPE SECTOR DEVELOPMENT AGENCY NPC

• Access to records is subject to prescribed fees, including a request fee of R140.00, a fee of R2.00 per A4 page for photocopies or printed copies, and a search and preparation fee of R145.00 per hour after the first hour.
• GreenCape processes personal information for purposes including providing requested services, communicating with enquirers, managing databases, reporting to stakeholders, completing funding proposals, and registering persons for events and webinars.
• The Organisation collects extensive personal data from various data subjects: customers/clients (including B-BBEE information and bank details), service providers (including tax clearance and vetting information), and employees/candidates (including medical records, biometric and facial recognition information, and disciplinary records).
• Personal information may be transferred outside of South Africa if the recipient is subject to adequate data protection laws, the data subject consents, or the transfer is necessary for a contract. Specifically, the Organisation uses Google Workspace with a data region policy to store core service data in Europe.
• Information security is managed through IT data security systems, physical access controls, and the use of ESET Protect Advanced for endpoint protection against ransomware and zero-day threats.
