REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL GREEN BUSINESS SUPPORT SERVICES – INTERACTIVE ONLINE DIRECTORY

This document is a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by GreenCape in May 2020 for the development of an interactive online directory of green business support services in South Africa, created in partnership with the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF).

• GreenCape and the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF) are partnering to create an open-source digital directory designed to provide South African entrepreneurs in the green economy with information on available services, programmes, and opportunities.
• The directory targets two primary user groups: Business Development Service (BDS) Providers, who can use the platform to advertise their support services, and green business entrepreneurs, who can use it to find support for business growth and market entry.
• The technical requirements for the site include a user-friendly, self-maintainable back-end (such as Wordpress), full SEO capabilities, mobile-friendly front-end design, and multi-media functionality supporting images, text, PDFs, video, and hyperlinks.
• The project timeline specified a development period from June to August 2020, with a test site due by the end of August 2020 and the final site scheduled to go live in October 2020.
• The directory's structure includes sections for various support service sectors, such as Funding and Investment, Research and Development Services, and Ideation, Incubation and Acceleration Programmes, alongside optional features like an industry news aggregation portal and CRM integration.
