Request for Quotation Terms of Reference

GreenCape is requesting quotations for a service provider to manage, monitor, and deliver training activities for the project “Active climate change citizenship for a just transition in South Africa” from April 2021 to February 2022. The project, co-funded by the European Union and the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom, targets rural communities, women, and youth in the Northern, Eastern, and Western Cape to increase their representation in renewable energy policy and decision-making.

• GreenCape is seeking a service provider for a contract running from 12 April 2021 to 28 February 2022 to assist with project management, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), and the design and delivery of youth and community training activities. The broader project spans four years, with similar professional support roles expected to be contracted annually.
• The scope of work for the service provider includes the detailed design and delivery of several project elements: a baseline study on Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and Community Based Organisations (CBOs) across three provinces, training materials, awareness-raising workshops, a health and safety guideline, a communications plan, a media campaign, and a project website.
• The project aims to increase active climate change citizenship among rural communities, women, and youth, specifically in the Northern, Eastern, and Western Cape. It utilizes an Advocacy, Communication and Social Mobilisation (ACSM) framework to address a lack of representation in policy dialogues and decision-making processes regarding the renewable energy industry.
