The policy defines maximum fee percentages for GCF accredited entities based on the size of public sector grants, ranging from 4% for large projects to 8.5% for micro-projects, with specific provisions for increases and calculation methods.

• The GCF applies a tiered fee structure for accredited entities (AE) based on the size of the public sector grant, with the maximum fee percentage decreasing as the project size increases: micro-projects (< USD 10 million) are capped at 8.5%, small projects (USD 10–50 million) at 7%, medium projects (USD 50–250 million) at 5%, and large projects (> USD 250 million) at 4%.
• The GCF Secretariat may increase the fee caps for micro-projects to 10% or for small projects to 8% if a compelling reason is identified.
• Fees for private sector projects and non-grant public sector projects are not covered by this fixed table and will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
• The fee policy applies specifically to projects, Project Preparation Facilities (PPF), and the Readiness Programme (including National Adaptation Plans) approved by the GCF after the Board's nineteenth meeting.
