Report on the activities of the Independent Integrity Unit

The Independent Integrity Unit (IIU) reported on its activities from 26 May to 19 September 2025, detailing efforts to foster integrity through regional dialogues, the development of an Integrity Toolkit, and a Peer Learning Programme. During this period, the IIU opened 14 new cases and closed 15, while continuing a Proactive Integrity Review (PIR-003) and providing contractual advice for seven Accreditation Master Agreements.

• The IIU conducted several capacity-building and outreach activities, including a joint session on transparency and accountability at the GCF Regional Dialogue in Latin America in September 2025 and a Peer Learning Programme involving 14 registered Direct Access Entities (DAEs) across four geographic regions.
• The IIU is developing an 'Integrity Toolkit' as an interactive resource to help Accredited Entities understand their obligations under GCF policies and improve their integrity systems; procurement for design services is currently ongoing.
• Between 26 May and 19 September 2025, the IIU opened 14 new cases (eight external project/programme cases, five internal misconduct cases, and one non-integrity violation case) and closed 15 cases (nine external, five internal, and one other).
• The IIU provided integrity-related support through three advisories to iTAP members on conflict-of-interest risks, three Project Implication Advisories (PIAs) to the Secretariat, and assistance in seven negotiations of Accreditation Master Agreements (AMAs) and other contracts.
