Decision B.40/19

The Green Climate Fund Board has formally noted the findings of the 'Independent Evaluation of the Green Climate Fund’s Approach to and Protection of Whistleblowers and Witnesses' and the Secretariat's subsequent management response. The Board has tasked the Ethics and Audit Committee with reviewing these findings alongside the Independent Integrity Unit's policy review to provide further recommendations. Additionally, the Independent Evaluation Unit is required to submit a management action report within one year of the Board considering those recommendations.

• The Board has acknowledged the results of the 'Independent Evaluation of the Green Climate Fund’s Approach to and Protection of Whistleblowers and Witnesses' and the Secretariat's management response to that report.
• The Ethics and Audit Committee is requested to review the evaluation findings, the management response, and the Independent Integrity Unit's policy review to submit recommendations to the Board.
• The Independent Evaluation Unit must provide a management action report to the Board within one year after the Board considers the Ethics and Audit Committee's recommendations.
