Pharm Access Project

The Pharm Access Project, funded by FCDO and implemented by FSD Africa and PharmAccess, aims to improve data quality and usage at Ghana's National Health Insurance Agency (NHIA) to enhance health outcomes, membership, and cost efficiency.

• The Pharm Access Project focuses on improving data-quality and usage at the National Health Insurance Agency (NHIA) in Ghana, an organization that covers approximately 50% of the population. The project aims to increase the capacity of the private sector and government to operate health finance systems sustainably and apply transparent metrics to Ghana's national roadmap for Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and health finance.
• The NHIA CEO has taken steps to integrate the project's goals by inviting the PharmAccess (Ghana) CEO to his advisory council and planning the establishment of a dedicated data analysis unit, likely in July 2022, to boost the agency's data analysis capabilities.
