Adaptation of Cambridge Fintech Regulatory and Innovation Online Programme for Africa (CFTRI Africa)

This fact sheet describes the adaptation of the Cambridge Fintech and Regulatory Innovation (CFTRI) global executive online programme for Africa, a collaboration between the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance (CCAF), Cambridge Judge Business School Executive Education, and FSD Africa.

• The CFTRI programme is designed to help global executives, policymakers, supervisors, and financial regulators understand fintech technologies, evaluate business models and their regulatory implications, use analytical tools to align business models with national capabilities, and assess regulatory innovation initiatives.
• FSD Africa partnered with the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance (CCAF) to contextualize the CFTRI programme for Africa, launching it in February 2022 and providing scholarships for the first cohort, which resulted in 30 participants completing the course.
