Endorser Perspectives Report: Progress, Challenges and Enabling Conditions for Action

This report outlines perspectives from endorsers of the New York Declaration on Forests (NYDF), detailing lessons learned and barriers encountered five years after the 2014 launch. Finally, the report states that the societal benefits of Nature Based Solutions are not fully recognized.
• Approaching 2020, the report calls for increased accountability and renewed ambition from all endorser groups to meet global forest and climate targets. Nearly two-thirds of the consulted NYDF endorsers have already reported action plans for objectives following 2020.
