Solidarité Internationaliste avec la Palestine

Friends of the Earth International denounces Israeli military actions in Gaza and East Jerusalem, highlighting the resulting humanitarian crisis and environmental rights violations, and calls for international diplomatic intervention to end the occupation.

• The Israeli occupation has caused extensive human and environmental rights violations for Palestinians, including land and water grabbing, pollution, and the destruction of livelihoods.
• Military actions in the besieged Gaza Strip as of May 18, 2021, resulted in at least 201 Palestinian deaths, including 58 children and 35 women, with over 1,300 others injured.
• Israeli bombardments have displaced over 38,000 Palestinians within Gaza, with at least 2,500 people losing their homes entirely, leading to critical shortages of food and water.
• The conflict has severely impacted Gaza's healthcare system during the Covid-19 pandemic, forcing doctors to suspend Covid-19 care to treat war casualties in damaged facilities.
• The document identifies a systemic campaign of oppression in occupied East Jerusalem, specifically citing attacks on the Al-Aqsa mosque and forced evictions in Sheikh Jarrah.
