Key demands include the cancellation of debt for countries in the Global South, the provision of non-repayable grants from the Global North, and ensuring that all COVID-19 treatments and vaccines remain free of patents or intellectual property rights.
• The third principle focuses on strengthening democracy and protecting human rights. The organization calls for an end to the criminalization of social movements and the use of the health crisis as a pretext for corporate deregulation or increased militarization and surveillance of territories.
• The fourth principle advocates for a transformative system change to address multiple systemic crises. This includes transitioning from industrial agriculture to food sovereignty and agroecology, recognizing collective land rights, and moving away from fossil fuel dependency toward community-led renewable energy.
