Solidaridad y justicia para el pueblo de Sri Lanka

Friends of the Earth International and Friends of the Earth Asia Pacific issued a statement repudiating violent attacks in Sri Lanka that resulted in over 250 deaths and 500 injuries, calling for justice for the victims and an end to violence.

• Hemantha Withanage, director of the Centre for Environmental Justice/Friends of the Earth Sri Lanka, attributes the degradation of the planet to the current neoliberal model, specifically citing environmental pollution, the destruction of natural resources, excessive consumption, and increasing social inequality.
• The organizations demand that those responsible for the attacks be brought to justice and call for global unity to eliminate all forms of violence at their source.
