Solidaridad internacionalista con Palestina

Friends of the Earth International denounces Israeli attacks on civilians and infrastructure in Gaza and Jerusalem, highlighting the systemic denial of Palestinian access to land and natural resources. The statement reports casualties from May 2021 bombings, the displacement of over 38,000 people in Gaza, and the resulting strain on healthcare systems during the Covid-19 pandemic. It urges global leaders to end the occupation and calls for public protests and government action to stop the violence.

• The Israeli occupation has systematically denied Palestinians control over their lands, borders, and natural resources, leading to environmental and human rights violations such as pollution, land and water grabbing, and forced evictions.
• As of May 18, 2021, Aljazeera reported that two weeks of Israeli bombings in the Gaza Strip killed at least 201 Palestinians, including 35 women and 58 children, and injured over 1,300 people.
• The UN reports that more than 38,000 Palestinians are internally displaced in Gaza, with at least 2,500 people losing their homes entirely due to recent bombings.
• Military attacks in Gaza have severely impacted the healthcare system's ability to manage the Covid-19 pandemic, forcing medical staff to suspend care for Covid-19 patients to treat war casualties.
