Comment parvenir à un Cadre Mondial de la Biodiversité réussi

A statement by Friends of the Earth International outlining requirements for the post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework to be established by the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) following the failure of the 2011-2020 Aichi targets.

• The 2011-2020 strategic plan of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) failed to achieve its 20 "Aichi targets," leading to the development of a new post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework to be discussed at the 15th Conference of the Parties (COP15) in October 2020.
• Friends of the Earth International, collaborating with the CBD Alliance, argues that the initial draft of the post-2020 framework lacked precision and ambition. They advocate for a framework based on a rights-based approach, full participation of indigenous peoples and local populations, global equity and funding, the integration of biodiversity into national "whole-of-government" approaches, accountability measures, and the promotion of agroecology.
• The organization explicitly rejects several elements for the new framework, including voluntary commitments, corporate conflicts of interest, purely technological solutions, the funding of environmentally destructive projects, and "false solutions" such as voluntary certification, offsetting, and corporate social responsibility programs.
