• Since the 2009 coup, various social movements—including environmentalist, feminist, peasant, trade union, and Garífuna groups—have faced a permanent state of exception characterized by violent human rights violations and the criminalization of those defending their territories and sovereignty.
• The document highlights specific attacks against deputy Rafael Alegría, including an assassination attempt and police repression within the Honduran Parliament, noting that Honduran authorities ignored international reports of threats against him.
