Friends of the Earth Latin America and the Caribbean (ATALC) issued a statement condemning threats of military action by the United States against Venezuela and supporting the sovereignty and self-determination of the Venezuelan people.

• Friends of the Earth Latin America and the Caribbean (ATALC) categorically condemns threats of a "military option" by the United States of America against the people of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, attributing these threats to President Donald Trump and an escalation of political, economic, and media harassment.
• ATALC expresses solidarity with Venezuelan social movements and organizations in their defense of sovereignty and self-determination, arguing that the threat from Washington against Caracas is a threat to all struggles for environmental, social, economic, and gender justice.
• The organization criticizes the Brazilian government, describing it as a "putschist" government, as well as other regional governments that it claims lack legitimacy due to the repression of social struggles and the persecution of those opposing territorial destruction, for contributing to an interventionist climate against Venezuela.
