• ATALC identifies specific casualties resulting from attacks on protesters, including the murder of a child in El Pedregal, Tegucigalpa, and an adult in La Ceiba, Atlántida, noting that attacks are particularly prevalent in disadvantaged areas and neighborhoods.
• The organization calls on the international community to demand that the Honduran government guarantee human rights and civil liberties, and supports international demands that the Honduran Electoral Tribunal withhold the announcement of an election winner until a supervised recount of all ballots, including those discarded for irregularities, is completed.
