ATALC se mantiene firme con el pueblo venezolano contra el imperialismo

Amigos de la Tierra de América Latina y el Caribe (ATALC) issued a statement condemning threats of military intervention in Venezuela by the United States and criticizing the support of other regional governments for these actions.

• ATALC strongly condemns the threats of a "military option" against Venezuela made by U.S. President Donald Trump, viewing this as part of a broader political, economic, and media siege supported by certain regional governments.
• The organization asserts that U.S. threats against Caracas are an attack on all social, environmental, economic, and gender justice struggles and an attempt to suppress liberation movements led by popular social movements.
• ATALC criticizes the Brazilian government and other regional administrations for attempting to politically isolate Venezuela in the name of democracy while simultaneously repressing social struggles and violating the rights of Indigenous Peoples.
