THE ENERGY POLICY SIMULATOR

The Energy Policy Simulator is an open-source, real-time tool designed to help decision makers identify the most cost-effective policies for decarbonizing the United States economy. It analyzes the cost and emissions impacts of over 50 climate and energy policies across all greenhouse gas emitting sectors, utilizing free, publicly-available data.

• The Energy Policy Simulator is a real-time, open-source tool that measures the cost and emissions impacts of more than 50 climate and energy policies across all greenhouse gas emitting sectors, including power, buildings, transportation, industry, and land-use. It tracks effects on 12 pollutants and cash flow between government, consumers, and industry, allowing users to create custom policy scenarios.
• The simulator's structure and components have undergone peer review by several institutions, including Stanford University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, as well as Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and Argonne National Laboratory.
