Standing up for science and climate action, now more than ever

Project Drawdown asserts its commitment to science-based climate action and the defense of scientific evidence against disinformation, particularly in anticipation of the Trump administration's likely promotion of fossil fuels and weakening of environmental laws. The organization intends to shift its focus toward celebrating climate leadership found in cities, towns, private companies, and community-led initiatives rather than federal leadership.

• The incoming Trump administration is expected to stall or reverse federal climate action by promoting fossil fuels and weakening environmental laws.
• Project Drawdown identifies a threat to scientific integrity, noting that figures like Trump, RFK Jr., and Elon Musk undermine evidence and spread disinformation.
• In the absence of federal climate leadership, Project Drawdown will focus on supporting and highlighting climate innovation and leadership within cities, towns, companies, and community change-makers.
