NATIONAL RMBS TRUST 2018-1 (CLASS A1-G) SDG GREEN BOND DNV GL PRE ISSUANCE ASSURANCE STATEMENT

This document is a pre-issuance assurance statement by DNV GL Business Assurance Australia Pty Ltd regarding the National RMBS Trust 2018-1 (Class A1-G) SDG Green Bond issued by NAB. DNV GL verified that the bond meets the Climate Bonds Standard Version 2.1 and associated Technical Criteria for Residential Low Carbon Buildings.

• NAB proposed the issuance of AUD 2 billion in Australian Prime RMBS notes, which included AUD 300 million of Class A1-G Green RMBS notes. The proceeds of these Green RMBS notes were used to finance assets categorized as Residential Low Carbon Buildings.
• DNV GL provided limited assurance that the National RMBS Trust 2018-1 (Class A1-G) SDG Green Bond complies in all material respects with the Climate Bond Standard Version 2.1 and the Associated Residential Low Carbon Buildings Technical Criteria.
• As of 1 December 2017, the eligible asset pool for the bond consisted of apartments and houses in New South Wales, Victoria, and Tasmania, totaling AUD 525 million, against a proposed note issuance of AUD 300 million.
• The verification process conducted by DNV GL involved a high-level review of information provided by NAB, including the execution of a Climate Bond Standard Protocol, desktop research, onsite documentation review, and interviews with NAB personnel.
