Introducing our Capacity Building & Technical Assistance Services

The Climate Bonds Initiative provides capacity building and technical assistance services in sustainable finance, offering three tiers of training: foundational courses, deep dives, and spotlight modules. These programs are designed to support the transition to a low carbon economy and have reached over 5,000 professionals globally.

• The Climate Bonds Initiative has provided training to more than 5,000 professionals worldwide to help them use sustainable finance to support the transition to a low carbon economy.
• Training is structured into three categories: Foundational Courses, which provide basic building blocks; Deep Dives, which offer technical journeys into specific topics; and Spotlight Modules, which are shorter, flexible sessions for time-constrained participants.
• Foundational courses include 'GSS+ bonds training', which covers the thematic labelled bond market and issuance steps, and 'Roadmap to a credible and ambitious transition', which focuses on how large emitters can align activities and assets with the Paris Agreement goals.
• Deep dive topics include taxonomies, agri-food transitions, verification and certification, the GSS+ issuance process, and scaling up sub-national finance through thematic labelled bonds.
• Spotlight modules cover green bonds, adaptation and resilience bonds, sub-sovereign issuances, and financing credible transitions, and can be delivered via webinars, roundtables, case study tutorials, or presentations.
