Green Bond Fact Sheet

Red Eléctrica issued a EUR 700 million green bond on 24 January 2020 to fund renewable energy integration and clean transportation projects. • The proceeds of the bond are designated for eligible project categories including renewable energy and clean transportation. • Red Eléctrica has committed to annual reporting on the company's website regarding the allocation and impact of the green financing until all net proceeds are allocated. These reports will detail the total amount invested, the ratio of new to existing projects, investment years, unallocated proceeds, and the geographical distribution of assets. Impact reporting will specifically disclose estimated annual CO2 emissions avoided and the increase of renewable energy capacity.
