Green Bond Fact Sheet

Jiangsu Financial Leasing issued a CNY1bn (USD148.9m) green bond on April 11, 2019, marking the first domestic Certified Climate Bond in China. The proceeds fund nine solar projects, including the world's largest floating solar park in Huainan City, Anhui Province (150MW). The bond is expected to annually avoid 88,000 tons of coal consumption and 236,000 tons of CO2 emissions.

• Jiangsu Financial Leasing issued a green bond totaling CNY1bn (USD148.9m) on 11-04-2019, with a maturity date of 11-04-2022. The bond is certified under the Climate Bonds Standard V2.1 with Solar Criteria and was verified by CCX Management.
• The bond represents the first Certified Climate Bond issued domestically in China and the first to support floating solar farms on freshwater bodies. The projects include solar facilities built on land above collapsed coal mines that became ponds and lakes, as well as one facility over a freshwater fishpond.
• The bond finances nine projects focused on photovoltaic panels and solar farm construction. This includes the world's largest floating solar park, located in Huainan City, Anhui Province, China, which reached full operation in 2018 with a total installed capacity of 150MW and was developed by Three Gorges New Energy.
• The expected annual environmental impacts of the financed projects include the avoidance of 88,000 tons of coal consumption, 236,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions, and 2,298 tons of sulphur dioxide emissions.
