Green Bond Fact Sheet

• On November 15, 2018, ING Bank N.V. issued a senior unsecured green bond with a 12-year tenor maturing on November 15, 2030. The total amount issued was USD 1.25 billion and EUR 1.5 billion (equivalent to USD 1.7 billion).
• The bond is the largest Climate Bonds Certified Bond issued to date and represents the largest green deal from a European bank. ING is the second Dutch commercial bank to achieve Certification under the Climate Bonds Standard, following ANB Amro.
• Proceeds from the bond are designated for financing and refinancing loans for solar energy farms, onshore and offshore wind farms, and residential and commercial buildings that are in the top 10% of low carbon buildings in the Netherlands.
• ING Bank N.V. has committed to using "science based scenarios" to integrate the Paris Agreement into its corporate lending strategies. The bank's corporate lending activities exceed EUR 500 billion.
