Green Bond Fact Sheet

This fact sheet describes a green bond issued by PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (PT SMI), a government-backed infrastructure financing company in Indonesia. • Both CICERO and the Climate Bonds Initiative expressed concerns regarding the lack of eligibility requirements for irrigation systems within the land use category, noting the risk that such systems could "overdraw water fresh supplies, thereby threatening drinking water sources and fragile ecosystems".
