Green Bond Fact Sheet

The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (London Branch) issued a USD 1bn and EUR 500m green bond on 14 June 2018. Certified for solar, wind, marine renewable energy, and low carbon transport, the proceeds fund projects in China, Pakistan, and Scotland. It is the largest green bond listed on the London Stock Exchange and the first Chinese issuance on the International Securities Market.

• The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (London Branch) issued a green bond on 14 June 2018 with a total amount of USD 1bn and EUR 500m (equivalent to USD 578m). The bond has a maturity date of 14 June 2023 and a longest dated maturity tenor of 5 years.
• The bond is certified under criteria for Solar, Wind, Marine Renewable Energy, and Low Carbon Transport. Proceeds are designated to finance three railways in China, solar and onshore wind farms in China and Pakistan, and the Beatrice Offshore Wind farm project in Scotland.
• This issuance represents the largest green bond listed on the London Stock Exchange and the first Chinese issuance on the International Securities Market.
