Green Bond Fact Sheet

The Prologis European Logistics Fund issued a EUR 300 million green bond on 15 March 2018 to fund green buildings (certified by LEED, BREEAM, etc.), solar, and wind projects. This issuance represents the first entry of a logistics investor into the green bond market.

• The bond is designated as a Green Bond and is issued by a financial corporate. It received a second party opinion from Sustainalytics, though it is not certified under a specific certification standard.
• Proceeds from the bond are allocated to green buildings, solar panels, and wind-related projects and assets. Eligible buildings must hold certifications from LEED, DNGB, BREEAM, HQE, or CASBEE, with thresholds ranging from the middle to high end of the scales.
• Financing also covers energy and water efficiency improvements in buildings, as well as energy-related assets including batteries, renewable energy charging stations, and smart meters.
• The issuance marks the first time a logistics investor has entered the green bond market. The bond has a credit rating of A3 from Moody’s and A- from S&P, with an annual interest rate of 1.750%.
