Interactive Dialogue with the Special Rapporteur on human rights and climate change

• The authors call for further work by human rights institutions to document human rights violations throughout the entire lifecycle of fossil fuels to support a just transition. This transition requires rejecting carbon markets and unproven technologies that expand the fossil fuel industry, implementing mechanisms for economic and non-economic loss and damage, and utilizing an intersectional approach to include marginalized groups.
