• The Centre for Environmental Rights (the Appellant) lodged an internal appeal on 21 September 2020 under section 96(1) of the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act, 2002 (MPRDA), alongside an application under section 96(2) of the MPRDA to suspend the decision pending the appeal's outcome.
• In accordance with Regulation 74(1)(c) of the Amended Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act Regulations, 2020, the Appellant has submitted a rectified Notice of Appeal and a conditional application for condonation to the Regional Office to address previous procedural defects.
• The Appellant committed to providing a response to the Rights Holders' reply regarding the suspension application by 6 November 2020.
