• Preferred Bidders are required to possess all applicable permits, licenses, approvals, and consents, including Environmental Consent, by the time of Commercial and Financial Close; without these, the Project cannot achieve those milestones.
• In response to requests for comprehensive assessment of climate change impacts for coal baseload IPPs following the Thabametsi judgment, the IPP Office states that the Department of Environmental Affairs is the regulatory authority responsible for considering necessary factors when awarding Environmental Consents.
