Eskom responded to a PAIA request from the Centre for Environmental Rights by granting access to the 2015/2016 annual emission reports for 16 of its coal power stations, as required by the National Environmental Management: Air Quality Act, 2004.

• Eskom granted the Centre for Environmental Rights (CER) access to the 2015/2016 annual emission reports and supporting documents for 16 of its coal power stations. These reports were submitted in accordance with paragraph 17 of the Listed Activities and associated Minimum Emission Standards under section 21 of the National Environmental Management: Air Quality Act, 2004.
• The specific coal power stations for which 2015/2016 annual emission reports were released include Arnot, Camden, Duvha, Grootvlei, Hendrina, Kendal, Komati, Kriel, Lethabo, Majuba, Matimba, Matla, Medupi, and Tutuka.
