MANUAL ISSUED IN TERMS OF SECTION 14 OF THE PROMOTION OF ACCESS TO INFORMATION ACT, 2000 (ACT NO 2 OF 2000)

This document is a PAIA Manual issued by the South African Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (DMRE). • If a request for information is refused, the requester has the right to lodge an internal appeal with the Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy within 60 days, or 30 days if notice to a third party is required.
• The Department processes personal information for employees, bidders, and applicants to fulfill statutory obligations and manage business operations, sharing such data with entities like the South African Police Services, the Auditor-General, and the South African Revenue Services where necessary.
