The South African Department of Environmental Affairs granted partial postponements for SO2 and NOx emission standards at the Duvha Power Station from 2020 to 2025, while denying a postponement for PM emissions for units 4-6. • Duvha Power Station is scheduled for decommissioning between 2030 and 2034 based on a 50-year life span. Additionally, Eskom is required to provide a definite offset implementation plan by 31 March 2016 to reduce particulate matter (PM) pollution in the ambient or receiving environment.
